Steven Resnick Seeks New Marital Tort: Alienation of Children's Affection

In a suit that could create a new marital tort in New Jersey, Steven Resnick filed suit on behalf of a noncustodial father against his children's mother for alienation of their affection for him, seeking recovery of psychological damages. Mitchell Rait moderated a panel on "Data Management: Playing by the Rules" presented by the IT and CIO Networks of the New Jersey Technology Council on August 8, 2007 at Shackamaxon Country Club in Scotch Plains, NJ.

James Daniels orally argued before the New Jersey Supreme Court whether, in a mortgage foreclosure action, the amount of a previously adjudicated law division judgment obtained on a note limits the amount of the foreclosure judgment. Stuart Sender intervened in a suit brought by a generic company brought against the FDA seeking to enjoin FDA approval of our client's new generic drug launch. Following briefing and oral argument, the District Court denied the preliminary injunction and a stay pending appeal, and the D.C. Circuit summarily affirmed denial of the stay pending appeal following an emergency motion. Our client successfully launched the drug as scheduled. Mr. Sender was assisted by Ellen Lowenthal, Alan Pollack, Jamie Taub and Howard Wang.

Peter Frazza convinced a federal judge in Newark to vacated a $4.6 million judgment against our client, finding the summary judgment was caused by the misrepresentations of an associate at another law firm previously representing the client.

Terrence W. Camp represented a cast member on the television program, "Sci Fi Investigates," aired on the Sci Fi Channel. Mr. Camp negotiated the performer contract for Lisa Van Camp with NBC/Universal. Mr. camp also represents 8-year old actress Madison Lipoff who is currently appearing in Robert DeNiro's film, The Good Shepard.
