On October 18, 2017, I met with Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ 7th District), along with six other Members of The Recording Academy (including Disco Legend, Gloria Gaynor, as well as writers, producers and engineers) to advocate for music creator rights legislation. On September 18, 2018, exactly eleven months later, the United States Senate unanimously passed the Music Modernization Act – a slight variation of which had previously been passed unanimously by the House of Representatives.
