Budd Larner provides counsel on a daily basis to internet clients. We draft sweepstakes rules in light of applicable law, draft terms and conditions to effectuate client concepts, and address privacy, trademark, copyright, customer service and other issues. We are thoroughly familiar with the recently enacted Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act, which prohibits the bad-faith registration of distinctive marks as internet domain names with the intent to profit from the goodwill associated with such marks.
We also draft and negotiate contracts on behalf of our internet clients. These contracts have included affiliate agreements, cobranding agreements, mutual non-disclosure agreements, agreements governing the use of hyperlinks and agreements with sweepstakes sponsors. As the internet continues to evolve, internet law will continue to be an emerging and exciting area of our practice.
