The Firm's Public Law Practice Group represents public and quasi-public entities such as municipalities, state and local governments and agencies, educational institutions, school boards, and public healthcare institutions.
We also represent private sector businesses and individuals with matters before public sector agencies, as well as applicants before planning boards and zoning boards of adjustment.
Practice areas include environmental law; public bidding; contracting and related procurements; waste management issues; education law; defense of tax appeals; zoning and land use, urban redevelopment issues and election law. The Firm also provides defense of civil liability claims under 42 U.S.C. 1983 and Title 59, representing public entities and public officials in the defense of actions filed under federal or state statutes that permits recovery for violations of constitutional rights. The Firm also handles tax assessment appeals on behalf of municipalities, businesses and individuals.
