Mitchell Rait

Mitchell Rait is a Shareholder of Budd Larner, P.C., one of New Jersey's largest and most prestigious law firms having been founded in 1934.

Mr. Rait serves as Chief Operating Officer of the perennially recognized “Top 20” state law firm.  As a key member of the firm’s executive management committee, he executes strategic initiatives, streamlines business operations and increases profitability.  Mr. Rait oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm in a team-oriented culture by managing administrative department directors responsible for finance, human resources, business development and marketing, technology, facilities, knowledge management and lateral attorney recruiting.

He is an attorney concentrating in employment law, corporate law and litigation, insurance-related matters, and business transactions in a wide variety of industries including: hospitality, healthcare, technology, sports, entertainment and real estate.

Mr. Rait began his career practicing labor, employment and benefits law on behalf of management handling union negotiations and elections, NLRB elections, wrongful discharge and employment discrimination cases. Today, he advises both corporate clients and individuals regarding employment terminations, sexual harassment, employment contracts, and restrictive covenants.

He is responsible for the Firm's business development activities including seminars, newsletters, public relations and trade associations. He is a frequent lecturer to numerous human resource professionals associations, technology organizations and various industry groups.
